A good cook always tries to improve his cooking,so he works hard and gradually finishes his job result, a well-cooked dinner, will give him much satisfaction and a lot of self-confidence. Some old machines, such as a broken radio or TV set your child plays with will make him curious and arouse his interest.
He may spend hours looking at them, trying to fix them. These activities are not merely teaching a child to read a book, but rather to think, to use his mind. And that is more important.
Shopping online is quite popular in our daily life now. It is a new way of shopping. Many things are offered and wait for your choosing. Convenience is the most important advantage. You can buy anything as you like. You don’t have to queue with other shoppers. Meanwhile, it is often open for 24 hours a day.
However, there are many disadvantages about shopping online. You can’t actually see the real products. So you may be cheated easily. Also, many people will miss the best opportunity to get along well with their friends and share the joy of shopping.

The New Year has not always begun on January 1. About 4,000 years ago, people first celebrated it in March. It was the Romans (罗马人) who first made January 1 the beginning of the New Year in 46 BC (公元前).

Friendship between two countries is the same, even for old friends of 30 years, like China and Brazil (巴西).
Last year, Chinese President Hu Jintao started his two-week visit to four Latin American (拉丁美洲的) countries. Brazil was his first stop.
During the visit, Hu had talks with Brazilian leaders. They hoped the two countries could become better friends.
