As can be seen from the drawings, the father has planted a small tree that grows into a big one and is left to his son to enjoy. Years later, his son sits under the big tree In social development, we should not over utilize our natural resources, as in the case of forests. A reasonable use of forests and reforestation are the best choices in the long run. Human beings should plan ahead when it comes to social development. Even though trees are in short demand today, we must still keep the deforestation under control, for we do not want to eliminate all of our forests, which are essential to our existence. Reforestation is another wise practice. We may not fully benefit from planting trees for the time being,but we must continue doing so, since it will benefit later generations.
From the point of view of sustainable development, we have the responsibility to ensure that future generations have enough natural resources to use and are not penalized for the shortsightedness of present day decision makers. In other words, we should not use up our natural resources just to meet our own present day needs, while ignoring the future of our planet.

April 12 is memorable because our class had a meaningful experience on that day. In the morning, we bicycled to the suburbs to plant trees, talking and laughing all the way. Upon arrival, we began to work immediately. Some were digging holes. Some were carrying and planting young trees. Others were watering them. After getting the work done, we put up a board reminding people to protect the trees. Before leaving we took some photos to record our green action. Seeing the lines of trees, we all had a sense of achievement. We feel it’s our duty to protect and beautify our environment.
Li Hang is my goodfriend. She is my neighbor. She has a big family, because she lives with her parents and grand-parents. She is the only child in her family, so she gets much attention. All her families care much about her. She is easy-going. It maybecause her big family. Besides, she works hard in study. She does well in all subjects, especially English. She says she likes English a lot. And she spends much time in English learning. When we are free, we often play together. We are happy to be friends.
What are friends? We often talk about thetopic with others. I think friends are those people who can help you when youare in trouble. Don’t forget the saying, “A friend in need is a friend indeed.”Friends can tell you your mistakes, though what they say is hard for you to listento. You can share your happiness, trouble and worry with friends. Someone alsosays, “You can’t walk any stepwithout a friend.” So I think friends are veryimportant to us. I would like to make as many friends as possible.
We all want to grow up happily and healthily, and for this goal we must do several things.
Firstly, we should develop a good attitude to life. Life consists of not only sunshine but also hard times. We should be brave in front of difficulties. Secondly, we must study hard because knowledge is power. If we have the power. We can help to build our country and enjoy life better. In order to study well, we need to do sports so that we can keep fit. We can go running, play ball games or simply take a walk after a days study. If we do those things well, we will be able to grow up happily and healthily.
One Sunday afternoon when I was learning to ride my bike, I fell down and hurt my arms badly. As soon as my parents heard this, they took me to the hospital at once. During my stay in bed, they took good care of me and cheered me up. Meanwhile, they helped me with my lessons. With their help, I caught up with my classmates. Now I'll try my best to study well to repay my parents.
