　　Today I go to the zoo with my family. I see many animals. I see the monkey the panda the giraffe and so on. I am very impressed by the peacock it is so beautiful especially when it opens its tail. But the thing is that the peacock won’t open its tail easily it is so arrogant. I always wait for it to open its tail.

　　Peafowl are three Asiatic species of flying bird in the genus Pavo of the pheasant family Phasianidae best known for the male's extravagant eye-spotted tail which it displays as part of courtship. The male is called apeacock the female a peahen and the offspring peachicks.[1] The adult female peafowl is grey and/or brown. Peachicks can be between yellow and a tawny colour with darker brown patches. The term also embraces the Congo Peafowl which is placed in a separate genus Afropavo.

　　告诉你们，其实，孔雀开屏也是为了保护自己，每当它遇到敌人时又来不及逃走时，便把尾巴张开，沙沙作响，那些像眼睛一样的花纹也就动了起来，敌人看到这个“多眼怪兽”也就不敢前进了。

　　有一次，妈妈带着我来到动物园，我立刻跑到孔雀的笼子外，等着它开屏，由于天气太热了，我不由自主地把自己鲜艳的小手帕拿来擦汗，孔雀看到了小手帕，马上开屏了。我又惊喜又奇怪，问妈妈：“为什么孔雀看见了小手帕就开屏了?”妈妈摸了摸我的头，笑了笑，说：“它在和你的手帕比美呢!”听了她的话，我立刻把手帕挥了挥，孔雀也跳起了舞来，真有趣啊!

　　我喜欢孔雀，它那美丽的羽毛和优美的舞姿已经深深的印在了我的心里。
